(formerly known as Outsourcing Malaysia)  is an initiative of the Global Business Services (GBS) industry and a chapter of PIKOM – The National Tech Association of Malaysia.  OM aims to promote and develop Malaysia’s GBS  industry as a global hub for high-value services. 

Supported by its founding partner – the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) – and spearheaded by a group of prominent industry leaders from the global services industry, OM focuses on enabling both buyers and providers to work together on addressing service needs within the aegis of global best practices and competencies.

Cheah Kok Hoong

OM Chairman

With more than 30 years’ experience, he is driven by an endless quest to seek knowledge and has thus garnered a wealth of expertise that spans across business development, M&A, business strategy and process engineering across both manufacturing and the services sectors.

Cheah Kok Hoong is well known his fearlessness and confident throughout his IT career.  He often pushed himself beyond his comfort level to do great things and now; resigned as the Group CEO & Director for Hitachi Sunway Information Systems to start up Cognitive Digital Sdn Bhd. Hoeing into his entrepreneur spirit, Cheah is looking to innovate and disrupt the industry digitally. 

Cheah is instrumental in driving the growth of the Malaysian ICT industry, both locally and regionally. And, he plays an active role in developing the next generation of talents for Malaysia. He is a person who is able to influence the industry and he is actively involved in the country's IT industry developments and continually propagates the advancement of the overall IT capabilities and resources within the diverse local verticals.

And, with his experience, Cheah was invited to serve on Sunway University and SoftwareONE Industrial Advisory Board (IAB). In addition, he was recently appointed as Adjunct Practice Professor in the Sunway University Business School, Sunway University.

In 2016,  PLC Hall of Fame for leadership and stewardship in promoting the PLC Leadership programme as part of the National ICT Certification & Standardization Grid (NICS Competence Grid). In 2010, he was conferred PIKOM’s CIO Excellence Award for his outstanding leadership and for being instrumental in the ICT adoption in the Sunway Group.

David Wong Nan Fay

OM Chairman Emeritus

David Wong Nan Fay is a business graduate (Honours) from the Dalhousie University, Canada. He has more than 30 years of track record and experience in the Information Technology and Logistic Industry.

David is currently the Chairman of ASOCIO, the Asian Oceanian Computing Industry Organization and the Advisor and Past Chairman of PIKOM, the National ICT Association of Malaysia. David is also the Co-founder and Emeritus Chairman of Outsourcing Malaysia (OM), an initiative of PIKOM and a consortium representative of the outsourcing industry.

In 2000, he founded and embarked on his new start up, SnT Global Sdn Bhd, where he currently resides as the Group Chief Executive Officer. SnT’s core businesses are Lead Logistics Management, Warehousing, Transportation and eFulfillment services. Other ventures include Education and Property development.

Under his guidance, SnT has won several major industry awards, and is widely regarded as a pioneer in the field of supply chain BPO in Asia. It was also recognized as a leading technology company in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific Program. SnT was recognized by Global Services Awards as one of the top 100 most innovative outsourcing companies in the world as well as top 10 to watch in Asia. In 2016, David was accorded the Outsourcing Leader of the Year by Outsourcing Malaysia.

He had spoken and participated in many local and International conferences including World Congress of IT, ASOCIO Annual Summit and others. He is currently a Board of Trustees of Yayasan Innovasi Malaysia (YIM), International Affairs Chairman of PIKOM, Chairman of ASOCIO AEC Digital Task Force, Digital Advisor of Malaysian Retail Chain Association (MRCA) and Board Member of World IT and Services Alliance (WITSA).

Pattabhiraman Muthukumaraswamy

OM Deputy Chair (Shared Services)

Pattabhiraman has over 24 years of diversified experience in operations, processing and strategic management in global banks and in the management of large Shared Service engagements across Asia.

He is currently the Executive Director of UOB Centre of Excellence (M) Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of UOB Bank. In this role, he is responsible to drive business transformation to the next level while focusing on process reengineering, operational efficiency to ensure costs are effectively managed whilst ensuring customer delight. His experience spans effective global delivery management, competence growth and process initiatives, proactively nurturing key alliances and leveraging business partnerships, while focusing on developing the right talent across Asia. Pattabhiraman is also very active in developing and contributing to the growth of the Shared Service industry in Malaysia, enabling the industry to transform itself into a knowledge economy through development of competencies and transforming the industry players to drive global best practices, remaining relevant and competitive.

Prior to joining UOB, Pattabhiraman worked with HSBC and held strategic roles spanning his career with them to deliver global best in class service and an effective off-shoring model. He has worked in India, Sri Lanka, Brunei & UK, holding Senior Management positions with HSBC Bank and Standard Chartered Bank. This vast exposure enables him to manage and provide solutions in global and diverse situations, with an expertise focusing on world-class performance, especially in that of the Shared Services outsourcing industry.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Commerce and a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management and has attended key leadership programs held by Duke Corporate Education (UK) and Process Design for Six Sigma by BMG.

Raymond Devadass

Raymond Devadass is the Chief Executive Officer at Daythree Business Services Sdn Bhd. Raymond specializes in providing Strategic Management direction, particularly in the field of IT Strategy and Management, to assist organizations in managing their IT/IS investments for strategic outcomes.

He has guided several technology companies from ‘start-up’ to becoming leading technology players in the industry. Amongst his many key achievements, Raymond managed one of the largest healthcare informatics implementations in Malaysia and played key role in realizing the IT Outsourcing agenda of a major state government in Malaysia.

His organisation, Daythree has been listed as one of the Top 10 RPA Companies of 2017 in APAC by the CIO Advisor Magazine. Having originated from a corporate finance background, Raymond has strong working and practical knowledge in finance, accounting and banking.

He holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Strategy & Planning and is the author of several articles/research papers. Raymond was accorded the Best Thought Leader award at the Outsourcing Malaysia Excellence Awards (OMEA) 2017.

Alex Hee Kam Fatt

Alex Hee has more than 20 years’ of experience in the field of document management solutions and services. After graduating with an Honours degree in Computer Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia, he began his technical career with Hong Hong Documents Sdn Bhd, an industry pioneer in outsource data printing and mailing services. He rose to the rank of Manager in charge of electronic publishing using SGML standard before leaving for International Business Solutions, an IBM business partner, heading its Technical Division in charge of production laser printers, providing end-to-end solutions to banks / telcos / print bureaus in running their transactional bill printing using ISIS Papyrus software, IBM continuous & cut-sheet laser printers and IPDS standards, and OMR enveloping machines such as Pitney Bowes, Kern, Bowe and Buhrs. 

He was later recruited by its principal, ISIS Papyrus Asia Pacific, as a Regional Consultant servicing its South-East Asian operations. Finally, after a short stint in Fuji Xerox Singapore, he founded Documation Sdn Bhd in the year 2001. 

Today, Documation is one of the industry leaders in providing outsource data printing and mailing services to Insurance, Stock Broking and Oil & Gas MNCs. It has over the years, grown and evolved its solutions and services to include multi-channel inbound and outbound documents – specializing in paper and electronic documents.

Dang Tin Wai

Dang Tin Wai is the Sales Director of Microtel Technology with over 15 years of business development and solution sales experience.

Solution projects delivered successfully by him include various contact centre management systems and engagement automation solutions spanning across a wide array of industries from financial services to healthcare. With a proven track record in channel sales management, his experience also includes channel partner recruitment and channel sales planning.

Tin Wai has executed projects and served multinational clients in the ASEAN region. Prior to joining Microtel Technology, he was leading the project management team of a national patient registry system under the Ministry of Health of Malaysia and has implemented 8 patient registry modules over a period of 4 years.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Commerce from Monash University, Australia.

Dato' Munirah Looi

Munirah is an MBA graduate from UK, majoring in Human Resource Management. She is a member of International Who’s Who of Professionals and Life Member of International Business Leaders. She is also the Top Nominee for the prestigious EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2018

She is the Founder/President & CEO of Brandt International, which specializes in the areas of Business Transformation/CX Consulting and Business Process Managed Services by leveraging on digital workforce (AI, ML, DL & RPA). She is an experienced Facilitator, Human Performance Strategist, Service Quality Management, Operational Management & Change Management practitioner for the past 30 years having conducted numerous training, coaching & mentoring and consulting assignments in Customer Experience and Organization Development & Digitalization assignments, both locally and overseas. She has worked extensively throughout Asia & US.

She has worked in partnership with individuals and teams to grow their careers and portfolios with a key focus on customers. Joanne Seaton

Joanne Seaton is the Co-founder and CEO of Angstrohm Technologies, a technology company focused on healthcare. She has over 20 years of diversified experience in various industries including Banking, Fitness, Education, Entertainment and Technology. Her regional and global corporate exposure in marketing, sales, strategic planning and business operations has provided her with a strong entrepreneurship foundation.

Before Angstrohm Technologies, Joanne has spent over 6 years at Macquarie Bank, where she served in various positions in sales and client management. She was instrumental in driving sales growth, nurturing new business relationships and managing a portfolio of over MYR 200M worth of technology assets.

Joanne holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside, UK.

Jusri Ong

Jusri is a leader who is able to bring together groups of people with different set of talents and make them function as a world class business team.  He has a keen eye for details that enables him to manage an organisation where he is the head of the company.  He is responsible for identifying new markets and developing new service offerings for Telecontinent’s outsourcing business.  He is also the principal consultant where he crafts out innovative outsourcing solutions for the clients.  Throughout his working career, Jusri has been responsible for the deployment of best practice customer management principles.  Very instrumental in leading various taskforces for business process reengineering initiatives.

Jusri is very passionate about his work where he spent the last 11 years learning and perfecting his skills and knowledge in the outsourcing industry.  To this effect, he has received credentials such as a certified COP Master-class graduate, IAOP.  Throughout his career in BPO, he has gain cross industry exposure in domains such as Banking, Telecommunications, Media and High-tech.  He has experience managing both domestic and off-shore contact centres with up to 1,000 seat capacity.

Jusri is a graduate of MMU with a degree in Business Administration (Hons.) Economics with Multimedia and a professional member of the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP).

Kim Chin Kuang

As divisional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Jabil, Kim Chin Kuang is responsible for the financial wellbeing of Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) in Jabil. Based in Penang, Malaysia, Kim provides financial projections, prepares growth plans and enforce policies and procedures that contributes to the long-term sustainability and business expansion objectives of the division.

Kim joined Jabil in 2008. Throughout his career in Jabil, Kim strategically evolved the role of Finance from fulfilling simple and transactional day-to-day processes to one of a valued and strategic business partners. Kim drove transformative initiatives that improved the agility and efficiency of the function while offering broader value-added consulting and advisory services. As an experienced commercial and operational planning finance professional, Kim is skilled in Managerial Finance, Business Development, Financial Planning, Analytical Skills and Business Process Improvement.

A keen advocate of issues related to the shared services industry, Kim is currently the Chairman of the Malaysia GBS Focus Group, an industry-driven community dedicated to strengthening the position of Malaysia as a location of choice for the Global Business Services (GBS) industry. He is also a member on the OM Committee (formerly known as Outsourcing Malaysia), a chapter of PIKOM – The National Tech Association of Malaysia. He is also honorary chairman of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (northern region) and industry advisor for University of Tunku Abdul Rahman; University of Science Malaysia and UOW Malaysia KDU University College.

Kim started his career in Ernst & Young and Kingston Technology. He graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Derby, United Kingdom and is a Bachelor in Accounting from Universiti Utara Malaysia. He is a registered chartered accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Anthony Raja Devadoss is Managing Director & Senior Client Partner, Malaysia and leads the Executive Search business in Malaysia.

Anthony Raja brings over 20 years of experience in cross spectrum of Board & Executive Search, HR Business Transformation Consulting, Recruitment Process Outsourcing, Leadership Talent development and Assessment within the region and globally spanning across industries. His areas of expertise in Digital Technology, Business/Professional Services & Telecommunications.

Arun Augustine

Arun has over 25 years of international experience in the IT industry in Singapore, Malaysia, the Middle East, USA and India.

He has been instrumental in the establishment and growth of Emerio (An NTT Group Company) globally.

Prior to Emerio, Arun has served as the Chief Operations Director of Exaband India & ConnectME International., a research based product Development Company in California, USA.

He is also an active advisor to Supahands (a BPO service provider) and a board member of Outsourcing Malaysia (a chapter of PIKOM).

C. J. Ang

C.J. Ang has 42 years of experience in the ICT industry. This started with Computer Systems Adviser (CSA) in 1976, and includes top management positions in IBM Malaysia, Compaq Computer Malaysia (now part of HP Malaysia), and Cuscapi Berhad (formerly Datascan Bhd). Cuscapi Berhad was listed on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia in 2004 during his tenure as CEO.

Ang served as President of PIKOM, the National ICT Association of Malaysia, from 2008 to 2010, and is now an Advisor on the PIKOM Council. He is also Advisor to Outsourcing Malaysia, a chapter of PIKOM. Ang served on the Board of Cuscapi Berhad from its listing in 2004 till 2018, and MDEC, the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation, as a non-executive director from 2011 till 2018.

Ang graduated from the Royal Military College in Sungai Besi in 1971 and attained his Bachelor Degree in Applied Sciences from Universiti Sains Malaysia in 1976.

Dato' Lim Han Boon

Dato’ Lim Han Boon, a chartered accountant by profession is currently the Founder of Envo BPO Services Sdn Bhd, an outsourcing company.

Prior to venturing into his own business, he was the Group Chief Executive Officer of Kannaltec Berhad, a maritime/shared services outsourcing company.

Before joining Kannaltec Berhad in 2005, he was the General Manager (Corporate Services) of Northport (Malaysia) Bhd, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of NCB Holdings Bhd, a public company listed in the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. At that point in time, he was also the Group Financial Controller/Company Secretary of NCB Holdings Bhd.

He spent more than 20 years in the port/maritime industry.

He is presently a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Fellow of the Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), United Kingdom, and a member of the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), United Kingdom. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of South Australia, Australia and has also attended the Harvard Business School Senior Management Development Program (SMDP).

He has been a Committee member of Outsourcing Malaysia (OM), a chapter of Persatuan Industri Komputer dan Multimedia Malaysia (PIKOM) since 2008 and was the Treasurer for the term of 2016/2017. Currently he is an Advisor to OM.

He is currently an Independent Non Executive Director of Top Glove Corporation Berhad, the world’s largest rubber glove manufacturer listed in the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad. He also sits as a member in Top Glove’s Audit Committee, Nomination Committee, Remuneration Committee, Investment Committee and Risk Management Committee.

He also sits on the Board of Governor of Kuen Cheng High School, a re-known 110 years old Chinese private school in Kuala Lumpur.

Dato' Loo Lee Lian

Dato’ Loo Lee Lian is the Chief Executive Officer of Invest-in-Penang Bhd (InvestPenang), a position she held since Mar 2010. As the principal investment promotion agency and a wholly owned company of the state of Penang, InvestPenang is the point of contact for investors, providing facilitation support to foreign and local businesses as well as policy advocacy.

At state level, Dato’ Loo is a member of the KPI Task Force of the Penang Development Corporation, a committee overseeing the operation and management of this state economic development corporation. She is also a member of the Selection Committee of the Penang Future Foundation, the Penang State Government’s scholarship program for university undergraduate studies. As an ardent supporter of development programs for young entrepreneurs and start-ups, Dato’ Loo is a council member of the Penang Accelerator for Creative, Analytics and Technology (Penang @CAT),

Dato’ Loo has more than 20 years of industry background in the various sectors of the manufacturing industry. She has led companies in strategic planning, project management, operations, business development, supply chain management, customer strategies and international business migration. She also speaks in corporate conferences and community seminars focusing on job diversity, women empowerment and youth education programs.

Born in Penang, Dato’ Loo graduated with Bachelor of Economics & Accounting from University of Adelaide, South Australia and received her Master of Business Administration from the University of South Australia.

Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli

Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli is the Chief Executive Officer of InvestKL.

In his current role as Chief Executive Officer, he leads the teams to identify, facilitate, and develop solutions for MNCs to locate their high value regional hubs in Greater KL and Malaysia. The focus sectors include oil & gas, healthcare, FMCG, business and financial services. To date, the InvestKL team led by Azmi has successfully brought in more than 90 MNCs to set up regional headquarters or hubs within Greater KL.

He joined InvestKL in 2012 as Director of Investor Relations for Europe.

Prior to InvestKL, Azmi has over 16 years’ experience in leadership and management positions spanning commercial business, business transformation and operations with MISC Berhad, a subsidiary of Petronas. Ong Chin Seong

Ong Chin Seong is the Managing Director of Powerware Systems, the leading provider of Consultancy, Design and Build Services for Data Centres. Powerware Systems is the first Company in Malaysia to achieve and obtained Uptime Institute Tier IV Design Certification for Saudi Telecom Corporation (STC) in 2009. It was also a recipient of the SME 100 Award as a Fast Growing Company in 2010. Powerware Systems has also designed; built and obtained the first Tier III Uptime Institute Design Certified Data Centre in 2012 in Malaysia for HDC Data Centre and subsequently, designed and built several Tier III Data Centre for some of the world’s largest outsourcing companies, Malaysia’s largest financial institution and government agencies. Phil Captain

He has conducted over 100 spokesperson and crisis trainings, messaging workshops and talks in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

He was appointed as CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) in October 2019 and Senior Vice President of Investment and Brand in December 2020 overlooking a 110 person team. This includes Investment Development and Promotion, MSC Business Services, Brand Marketing and Strategic Communications.

He holds an LLB from the University of London and a Professional Diploma in Public Relations from the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia.

Woon Tai Hai

Woon Tai Hai has over 35 years of IT related and track record working experience, including 11 years in the Australian workforce in the banking and finance industry developing software applications for the wholesale banking sector. He migrated back to Malaysia in 1993 wherein he spent 4 years with a large local Systems Integrator (SI) and about 20 years subsequently in the management consulting business.

He was ‘head-hunted’ to join KPMG Malaysia in 1998 as a Director, managing the Enabling Technology practise and was admitted into the partnership in 2000. In the 15 years that he was with KPMG, he has led multi-discipline (and often cross regional resources) team in assisting clientele in IT and Management consulting including transformation engagements across industries such as FSI, Manufacturing, ICT and Public sector. In 2004, he was also designated the Partner-in-charge of the then newly formed Business Performance Services (BPS) practice, to assist clients in enhancing their business performance in the areas of processes, IT systems and human capital. He was also appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Knowledge Officer (CKO) driving information technology and knowledge initiatives for the firm in line with KPMG global agenda; these in-house roles he held for more than 10 years.

Woon retired in KPMG as a partner in 2013 and joined BDO Consulting, Malaysia (another global network of Audit, Tax and Advisory organisation) as Executive Director. In the four years here, he has been directly involved with a diversified portfolio of engagements including preparing clients for the GST implementation in 2015, Cybersecurity assessment and related assignments and Big Data Analytics (BDA) framework development and requirement analysis for a Government agency. He opted for an earlier retirement in 2017 from BDO to pursue other areas of interest including digital transformation, Fintech and Cryptocurrency.

His key areas of expertise include IT strategy blueprint design, Vendors and systems evaluations, Business transformations, Shared service framework deployment and costings. Human capital advisory in KRAs and KPIs development.

Woon’s involvement and contribution outside of his professional career entails both the Industry and Public sector.

On the industry side, he was the elected chairman for the National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) in 2011-2013 and prior to that held the positions of Councillor, Treasurer and Deputy Chairman. He was also the appointed Research Committee Chair (a role he held since 2008) wherein he has been responsible in championing the publications of two PIKOM signature reports for the past 10 years. He is currently the appointed advisor to PIKOM including the Outsourcing Malaysia (OM) and Cybersecurity Chapters.

In addition, he was also invited to serve on the Malaysia Australia Business Council (MABC) Technology Commercialisation subcommittee for 2017-2018.

In the public-sector domain, he was appointed to the Working-Group (WG) of the Nexus Governing Committee-Professional Services sector (NGC-PS) reporting to the Malaysia Productivity Council (MPC) chaired by the Prime Minister for a three-year term from 2018.

Woon holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and a Post Graduate Degree in Accounting and Finance from University of Technology, Sydney (UTS). He also has a graduate degree in Bachelor of Science from University New South Wales (UNSW).

Zulfiqar Zainuddin

Zulfiqar Zainuddin is the Managing Director of IIB Ventures Sdn Bhd (“IIBV”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Iskandar Investment Berhad (“IIB”). Prior to that he was leading i2M Ventures Sdn Bhd (“i2M”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional, the strategic investment arm of the Government of Malaysia.

Under Zulfiqar’s leadership, GBS ISKANDAR was launched in April 2016, a programme specially developed to provide expert facilitation for companies to meet their GBS location requirements, covering key areas such as talent, infrastructure, liveability and incentives.

To-date, the GBS ISKANDAR programme has secured over 6,200 professional jobs within the sector while successfully attracting over RM2.6 billion (US$580 million) in committed investments, which includes two of the ‘big four’ professional accountancy firms, providing audit, tax and advisory services. The Blockchain Village at Medini ([email protected]) programme, which was launched in October 2019, continues to promote the blockchain as well as other emerging technologies in the country, drive innovation and develop the required talents required to establish Iskandar Puteri as the regional innovation and technology hub.

Prior to his appointment, Zulfiqar was the Head of the Business Services Unit of Investments in Khazanah Nasional.

He has vast experience in managing large multinational clients as the Head of Foreign Direct Investments during his time at the Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC), now Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). He was also the Director of Business & Industry Development for Frost & Sullivan in Kuala Lumpur.

Zulfiqar presently serves as the Advisor of Outsourcing Malaysia (OM), an initiative of the outsourcing industry and a chapter of PIKOM – Malaysia’s national ICT industry association. He is also the President of the Alumni Look East Policy Society (ALEPS).

Zulfiqar holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons.) from Wakayama University, Japan.

Global Technology & Business Services Council

The GT&BSC has been developed through the alliance of the twelve major independent regional organizations representing the technology and business services sector across the world  in order to collaborate, promote and represent the industry on a global basis for the first time.
The Council, which collectively represents the interests of over 10,000 companies and 10 million employees, will play a critical role in developing the future of the industry, safeguarding its future and that of its employees.

The Council will share best practices, thought leadership and collaborate on new operating models on a global stage, which will provide significant value to all of the GT&BSC organisations members, their customers and their employees and aiding and accelerating recovery around the world. The Council will look at the evolving skills required by the industry and work to upskill the profession accordingly.


The Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO)

The Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) is a grouping of IT industry associations from economies in the Asia and Oceania region. ASOCIO was established in 1984 with the objective to promote, encourage and foster relationships and trade between its members, and to develop the computing industry in the region.

Presently, ASOCIO represents the interests of 29 economies, comprising 22 members from Australia, Bangladesh, Brunei, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Macao, Malaysia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and seven guest members from USA, UK, Canada, Spain, Russia, France, and Kenya. Today, ASOCIO’s members account for more than 10,000 ICT companies and represent approximately US$350 billion of ICT revenue in the region.

Under the ASOCIO umbrella, member economies are provided an opportunity to collaborate amongst the member economies for growth.


The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM)

The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) is a trade association of Indian Information Technology (IT) and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry. Established in 1988, NASSCOM is a non-profit organization.

NASSCOM is a global trade body with over 1200 members, of which over 250 are global companies from the US, UK, EU, Japan and China. NASSCOM’s member companies are in the business of software development, software services, software products, IT-enabled/BPO services and e-commerce. NASSCOM has been a proponent of global free trade in India.

NASSCOM was set up in 1988 to facilitate business and trade in software and services and to encourage advancement of research in software technology. It is a not-for-profit organization, registered under the Indian Societies Act, 1860.
